Turkey Chile Recipe

You are going to LOVE this Low-Iodine Turkey Chili with homemade chili powder. It bursts with flavor and good for your thyroid and blood pressure. It is also probably the one of the simplest recipes to make. After you try it, feel free to comment on our blog and let us know how yours came out!



INGREDIENTS

1 lb turkey

1 medium onion

3 garlic cloves

1 TBS homemade chili power

½ tsp paprika

½ tsp cayenne pepper – optional

2 C canned black beans – no salt if non-iodine diet

2 C canned diced tomatoes – no salt if non-iodine diet


Homemade chili powder

1 tsp paprika

2 tsp ground cumin

1tsp cayenne pepper ~ more or less according to your spice level

1 tsp ground oregano

2 tsp garlic powder

DIRECTIONS

Brown turkey and onion and garlic. Drain if needed. Add all remaining

ingredients and simmer 1 hour.
